In May 2019, a young woman named Julie Van Espen was raped and murdered in Belgium. This shocking news acted as a trigger for me. I had flashbacks of the sexual and psychological abuse I had experienced around the age of 12. I started sharing my story little by little for the first time. I broke down, but finally this festering wound could open up in order to heal. It was as if I had to learn to walk again, learn to feel again and love myself. I had to regain trust and faith and learn to accept my anger and misunderstanding.

It put me on a path of inner healing on which I met incredibly beautiful people who enriched my life and made it softer again. These people were points of light in my life for which I am deeply grateful. I wanted to give something back for the light they had brought me. So I sat down, took my guitar and started playing for Anneke Lucas. Because she showed me the way to my innocence and so much more. I played and played… For all the children of then and now. For Soulmate and brother Alexander, aho. For Emma, ​​the woman who taught me to dream again. For César and the Mother who carries us. For Afke, a teacher and heartsfriend.
